The State Bank of Ohio was one of the largest banks in antebellum America made up of forty-one branches spread across the state. The bank was Greene County's first bank which opened on June 1, 1835. It changed its name to the First National Bank in 1863. This is one of only two known examples of this note. PCGS Apparent Very Good 10 with the apparent designation due to small rust stains and minor edge nicks.
