Description

    West Union, OH- The Bank of West Union $20; $50 Dec. 3, 1858, Faded G58; G60 Wolka 2824-29; -32
These larger denominations are somewhat scarcer than the lower values. The $20 is a remainder that has been fraudulently filled in (being dated 1858, seventeen years after the bank failed). It grades Fine. The $50 is rare, with only three examples presently known. While it grades a more humble Good-Very Good with a number of small body holes, edge divots, and margin reinforcements, it may be a long time before the opportunity to acquire a better example presents itself.
