A Rare $10 from the Last State Bank of Ohio Branch to OpenLogan, OH- The State Bank of Ohio, Logan Branch $10 Aug. 1, 1854 G818 Wolka 1503-32
A rare note from a very scarce branch of the State Bank of Ohio, this note is one of two known examples of this design on this branch which has the distinction of being the last to be formed in 1849. It closed in 1864 and was one of the few that did not go on to become national banks. It left a mere $14,989 in outstanding circulation as of 1866, an amount which undoubtedly was further reduced in subsequent years. Very Good-Fine with normally expected edge rollovers and rumples plus a solitary tiny spindle hole in the lower right quadrant.
