Kirtland, OH- The Kirtland Safety Society Bank $10 Feb. 7, 1837 G10 Rust 8 Wolka 1424-12After failing to receive a state bank charter, it was decided to continue on without one. This led to a civil suit which, in turn, led to the convictions of Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon for running an illegal bank. The bank closed in 1837. PMG grades this example About Uncirculated 55
