    Description

    Cuyahoga Falls, OH - W.A. Hanford payable at Summit County Bank 5¢; 10¢; 25¢; 50¢ Oct. 1862
These colorful notes with appealing vignettes were store scrip for a mercantile concern managed by W.A. Hanford. Research by Wendell Wolka that appeared in Paper Money indicates that this merchant's name was Hanford, not Stanford as many had previously thought. This bank became the First National Bank of Cuyahoga Falls, charter number 378. About Uncirculated or better. (Total: 4 notes)
