    Cincinnati, OH- The Farmers & Mechanics Bank $5, $100 1814-1818 Wolka 0469-12, -24
This bank received a charter in 1813 and failed in the monetary crisis of 1819. It reopened in 1820 but failed for good in 1821. The $5 note has a man seated with a scythe. The $100 note is a post note and has a man kneeling with architects dividers by a plow and sheaf of wheat and is one of two known. The $5 note grades Extremely Fine and the $100 note has been split down the center and rejoined. It has a heavy pen cancellation of "Xs" on the back that have bled through and a lighter one on the face. Fine.
