    Description

Portsmouth, NH- The Piscataqua Exchange Bank $20 Remainder G12
Previously doing business as the Piscataqua Bank, the Piscataqua Exchange Bank was in business from 1844 until it became the First National Bank of Portsmouth in 1863. Oval portraits of Penn and Franklin flank the central vignette depicting milkmaids with their cows. PMG grades this note About Uncirculated 53 Net due to a small purple stain in the lower margin by "Cashr." and thinning (perhaps the upper two corner tips?).
