Omaha City, NT- Omaha and Chicago Bank Proprietary Proof $10 May 1, 1861 UNL
Haxby indicates this rare bank had notes printed in the $1, $2, and $5 denominations. Prices are listed in Haxby for issued $1 notes, though the $2 and $5 have been only reported in proof. In fact, the $10 denomination is unlisted in any form in the Haxby reference. Our consignor and the underbidders realized this fact at our January 2012 FUN Auction as this proprietary proof brought $1,840 that night. PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
