    Description

Omaha City, NE- City of Omaha $1 Dec. 1, 1857
"Nebraska Territory" is printed near the top edge of this Fine Ace. It has sound edges and nice color plus a few pinholes. Nebraska became a territory in 1854 and achieved statehood in 1867. The central vignette on the note illustrates two Native American braves on horseback observing an "iron horse" in the distance. Also included with this lot is a copy of that vignette printed on heavy cardstock. That piece measures approximately 6 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches with the actual vignette measuring about 3 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches. (Total: 2 items)
