    St. Paul, MN - Treasurer of the State of Minnesota $10 Feb. 20, 1858 D10
    This State of Minnesota $10 note is part of a complex series of a interest bearing notes issued by the State after the financial panic in 1857 and from needs arising from the delay in Minnesota's statehood. The series paid 12% interest and could be used for payments such as taxes. Lithographed and with an imprint Louis Buechner, St. Paul. PCGS Apparent Very Fine 35 due to a tape-repaired internal tear. In our Newman Auction, we sold a $5 note, graded Apparent Fine 15, for $176.25. The present note is far superior.
