    Saint Paul, MN- The Bank of Saint Paul $2 Nov. 1, 1858 G4a Hewitt B720-D2b
    The bank was organized in 1858 and was closed in 1861 after its notes were protested for non-payment. The Auditor redeemed the outstanding circulation at the rate of 98 cents on the dollar. $450 was outstanding in 1872. This note features a plowing scene and a large red 2 protector and was printed by ABNCo. PCGS grades this note Apparent Very Good 10 with numerous small faults like edge splits, tears, minor damage and minor stains noted. These all come with the territory on well circulated notes and provide minimum distractions on this rare Minnesota issue which still faces up nicely.
