    Serving as the plate note in the Shafer-Sheehan Panic Scrip catalog, this $5 note was issued during the Panic of 1893. It bears the printed signature of Charles Pillsbury and undoubtedly circulated in rural regions of the upper Midwest. It has two notations that it was redeemed in 1901. PMG grades this note Very Fine 20 Net, noting that the note has been repaired and a piece added, probably referring to the left margin.
