    St. Joseph, MI- B.C. Hoyt, Banker 20¢ Nov. 1, 1862 Remainder
    Benjamin C. Hoyt was a private banker, in business from 1856 until 1873, when the firm failed due to the national Panic. The vignette of "America" on the left side of this note was, ironically, also depicted on the $100 Confederate States of America Treasury Note that was also in circulation at this time. Attractively printed in red and blue. Choice Crisp Uncirculated.
