    Description

Sault De St. Mary, MI- The Chippeway County Bank $20 Jan. 1, 1840 G6 Lee SAU-2-8
The bank was open for less than a year in 1838. Lee reports that the $20 denomination is very scarce, with fewer than ten examples known to him. This note sports two classic vignettes, one of Hebe signed by Hatch and a widely used one of produce and agricultural tools. PCGS grades this note Fine 12. We have only offered this note once before in 2004. After being third party graded, it now is back for its return engagement after nearly a decade.
