Detroit, MI - State Bank of Michigan $3 18__ Remainder
A superior example of this odd denomination note on a bank that became the First National Bank of Detroit. Printed by ABNCo, this note incorporates a rare form of alteration protection called Lyman's Protection. Depending upon the denomination, the note layout is split into two parts of varying proportions. This is just about the nicest example we have ever had for sale. Aside from this note, the only other PMG Superb Gem Uncirculated 67 EPQ example that we sold was a $2 note that realized $1,175 back in October.
