Detroit, MI - State Bank of Michigan $1 18__ Remainder G2a
An interestingly designed $1 remainder, utilizing the Lyman Protector method to combat counterfeiting, with two bucks as part of the central vignette against a vibrant red undertint. In 1864 this bank became the First National Bank of Detroit, charter number 97. A year ago we sold a PMG Superb Gem CU 67 EPQ note for $1,150. While not that nice, this is certainly one of the more satisfying CU examples we have had to offer. PCGS New 60PPQ.
