Battle Creek, MI- Mme. Kellogg $5 Advertising Note ND (ca. 1870s) Lee BAT-2 Very Fine
A great ad note from Mme. Kellogg of Battle Creek, Michigan (is there perhaps some connection to the famous Kellogg cereal empire of Battle Creek?) advertising Mademoiselle Kellogg's "French Tailor System of Dress Cutting." From the bill's format, which utilizes the back of a First Charter $5 National, this likely dates from the 1870s. There is a stamp for an Agent from Worcester, Massachusetts on the note as well.
