Wrentham, MA- The Wrentham Bank $1 Oct. 8, 1862 G12a
A beautifully engraved late American Bank Note Company product displaying a bright green protector. The three vignettes are each a masterpiece of the engraver's art, and, if this rare signed and issued beauty does not get your blood racing, you probably should not be collecting obsolete currency. The consignor of this note, who is also the consignor of most all of the late issue obsolete currency in this sale, credits the beauty of this note, which he obtained two decades ago, with starting his quest to acquire as many of the rare signed and issued American and National Bank Note Company examples as he could find. PMG Very Fine 25.
