    Description

Boston, MA- Union Bank $100 18__ G254 Proof
This $100 proof is from another one of the foundational American banks opening in 1792. The early types are listed in Newman. This 1840s period proof is by the Rawdon, Wright & Hatch, Boston office. India paper, but mounted to a thin card to give the weak India paper some more integrity. The extremely rare type was not in Denly's collection sale by us and the plate note is a cancelled issued note. Hole punch cancelled, missing UL corner tip, and edge tears are noted on this proof grading PCGS Apparent Choice New 63.
