Blackstone, MA- Worcester County Bank $20 18__ G22a Proof PMG Uncirculated 62.
The Worcester County Bank opened in 1850 and became the Worcester County National Bank of Blackstone (Ch. 1207) in 1865. This attractive ABNCo printed note features a large green center die as well as a young girl's portrait and a vignette of a train crossing a viaduct. Printed on India paper with the usual POCs in the signature lines. PMG notes some paper thinning (between the third and fourth POC) and a small tear whose size and location can not be positively determined through the holder. We are presently aware of three examples of this proof design.
