    Description

Savage, MD- Savage Manufacturing Company $1 18__ UNL Shank 122.1.5 P Proof PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.
A textile mill was erected in 1822, with its many product canvas used for sails and later for military purposes through World War 2. The mill closed in 1947. The $1 design features a seated Native American warrior flanked by six cameo-like medallion heads that were excellent counterfeit deterrents. The note is printed on India paper without any forms of cancellation present in the signature lines. Very Rare.
