    Description

Salisbury, MD- The Somerset and Worcester Savings Bank $3 Nov. 1, 1864/2 Shank 116.5.14
Vignettes of a girl blowing on a dandelion flower and a farm girl talking with two blacksmiths complement a red and white "THREE" protector panel on this American Bank Note Company product. This note is a prime example of how far the art of engraving had come by the 1860s. This variety has the date altered from 1862 to 1864 by changing the last digit in red ink. Uncirculated.
