    Description

Cumberland, MD- The Allegany County Bank $5 Jun. 4, 1860
A fully signed and issued note that is not particularly rare but which is always popular due to the orange tinted paper and striking vignettes. The bank closed in 1864 before the Civil War was over. A charming town way up in the upper northwestern corner of Western Maryland before going into Pennsylvania. A solid Fine with a small ink spot at the bottom of the right signature and a couple of hinge glue remains on the back.
