    Baltimore, MD - Farmers & Merchants Bank of Baltimore $5 Remainder G20
    The bank began operations in early 1810 and its charter was approved on December 24, 1810. In 1865, it converted to the Farmers& Merchants National Bank of Baltimore, charter #1337. That bank was liquidated on September 3, 1930 as the Great Depression came roaring on the scene. While we have sold lots of uncut sheets this is the first $5 note we have sold individually.
