    Baltimore, MD- Bank of Baltimore $500 18__ G118 Shank 5.5.67P Proof PMG About Uncirculated 55 EPQ.
    The bank was in operation from 1795 until 1865 when it became the National Bank of Baltimore. This $500, and the $1000 note that follows, are the largest denominations issued by the bank. Featuring vignettes of the Maryland coat of arms and Proserpine standing, as well as two small medallion-like cameo heads, this note is printed on India paper without any POCs. It comes from a single two subject $500-$1000 sheet that was part of Lot 592 in the 1990 ABNCo Archives sale.
