    Shreveport, LA- State of Louisiana 50¢ (3) Mar. 1, 1864 Cr. 21I; Cr. 21D2; Cr. 21B/B1
With a dizzying array of protector options and paper sources, this design can be quite confusing. The three notes in this group include Cr. 21I which has both red and blue partial ONE protectors on the face and is printed on the backs of Louisiana notes. In addition there is a Cr. 21D2 with both ONE and TWO partial blue protectors on the face and printed on Louisiana notes. Finally, there appears to be a new variety of Cr. 21B which has a partial red protector (due to its position, it could be either a ONE or TWO) on the back of an otherwise plain paper example. The closest equivalents are Cr. 21B or 21B1. Very Good-Fine or better. (Total: 3 notes)
