    New Orleans, LA- New Orleans, Jackson & Great Northern Rail Road Company $2; $3 Nov. 16, 1861 These notes were issued by the railroad months before New Orleans fell to a Union naval expedition in April, 1862. The railroad shifted operations out of the city and was one of the main means of evacuating Confederate troops from the city when it fell. These two attractive notes are printed on the backs of bills of exchange and Bank of Port Gibson, MS notes and grade Fine-Very Fine. (Total: 2 notes)
