    Description

Franklin, LA- Parish of St. Mary 25¢ Remainder, $2 April 23, 1862
The 25¢ denomination is printed on blue paper and features vignettes of an Indian with spear and bow as well as a classic Mississippi River sidewheeler steamboat. A red "25 CTS" protector was also utilized. Very Fine with a few small internal splits. The $2 denomination is also printed on blue paper with a red "TWO" protector and has vignettes of a ship and a pelican feeding her young. Very Fine, but with missing corner tips, a bit of ink erosion, and some mounting remnants on the back.
