    Description

(Many, LA), Parish of Sabine $2 1862
This Parish borders Texas in the western part of the state, with the Sabine river the dividing line between the two. The state of Louisiana created the parish after breaking up Natchitoches Parish in 1843. To our knowledge, no other notes from the parish are known, with this $2 payable in Confederate Notes. The paper is bluish green with some breaks and splits noted. A rarity nonetheless. PCGS Apparent Very Good 10.
