    Description

Hartford, IN- Hartford Exchange Bank $10 185_ Remainder
The Hartford Exchange Bank was a fraudulent affair in the backwoods of southeastern Indiana whose sole purpose was to put large amounts of paper money like this note into circulation as quickly as possible. Not surprisingly W.L. Ormsby, who seemed to attract customers with questionable motives, printed this bank's notes. This example grades Fine-Very Fine.
