    Description

Connersville, IN - Savings Bank of Indiana $1 G2a Wolka 139-1
An attractive remainder that includes vignettes of both sides of an 1853 Liberty Seated dollar coin. We have handled very few notes from this bank over the years. The Savings Bank of Indiana was only in business from 1854-57. Notes on the bank were redeemed at 69¢ on the dollar by the state auditor after the bank failed. We have only sold a couple others and those two, grading PCGS EF 40, sold for an average of $150 each back in 2012. The market is much better and so is the grade of this fascinating remainder. PMG Superb Gem Uncirculated 67 EPQ.
