    Description

(Unknown), IN- Lucas, Garrison & Co. $5 Mar. 1, 1853 Wolka 1905-01 Proof PMG Choice Uncirculated 63.
Wolka was unable to discover any significant background on this Indiana issuer as all of the names shown on the note were common names. Your cataloger believes that this note was part of a $5-$10 uncut sheet that was Lot 468 in the 1990 ABNCo Archives sale. There is one additional example known which has POCs in the signature lines, serving as the plate note in both the 1978 and 2018 state catalogs. This example is printed on India paper mounted on cardstock and has no POCs in the signature lines.
