Washington, DC- Government Bank $5 Nov. 15, 1862 G6a PMG Very Fine 30.
Despite the name, this bank was a short-lived fraud that was born and probably died in 1862. The notes, at least, were attractive with a dark green overall tint highlighting a dramatic eagle vignette on the face. In addition this variety has a decorative green back. PMG notes a small sealed edge tear (most easily seen from the back where it is at left center).
