    West Winsted, CT- Hurlbut Bank $3 G6 Proof
    The Hurlbut Bank was in business for a decade before becoming the Hurlbut National Bank in 1865. This note, mounted on cardstock with four very small POCs as-made, is formerly part of the ABNCo archives holdings that were sold in 1990. PCGS Choice About New 58 with edge and internal tears noted although they appear to be very small and are very difficult to detect through the holder. This is our first offering of a $3 proof from this bank since 2002 when a similar design $3 (with two red 3 protectors) sold for $690.
