    Little Rock, AR- Cincinnati & Little Rock Slate Compy $5 Dec. 1, 1854 Rothert 409-7
    The Memphis owners of this company operated fraudulently and the business failed as a result. Slate was quarried from the Arkansas River. There are two varieties of this note- a plain back example and this type with a decorative engraved back. Both designs were assigned the R-5 rating by Rothert, indicating 11 to 25 known examples. This is the variety with a plain back. Fine, with pinholes.
