    Fort Smith City, AR - M. Mayers & Bro. - Payable in Multiple Locations 25 Cents Jan. 5, 1862 Rothert 234-4. PCGS Very Fine 25 Apparent.
    The date is partially written on this second series note, similar to Rothert 234-2, and there is one plate letter "A" at the lower left. Payable in five locations including Denton and Sherman, Texas, and at and at F. H. Nash, Cherokee Nation. The red Mayers ink stamp is diagonally across the face. Noted with "Edge splits; Small Holes." The note has much paper body, and all the payable locations are distinct.
