    Fayetteville, AR- Holcomb & Barnard 75¢ Jan. 17, 1862 Rothert 198-3 PMG Very Fine 30.
    The Rothert plate example on page 86 of his Arkansas reference. This attractive note is a very nice representative for the grade. It is printed on brown tissue thin paper and has an endorsement of Jas. Barnard on the back. Union forces under the command of General Samuel Ryan Curtis occupied Fayetteville on February 18, 1862. The Union victory at the Battle of Pea Ridge took place northeast of Fayetteville on March 7-8, 1862.
