Camden, AR- The City of Camden $1 May 14, 1862 Rothert 92-3
Normally Civil War scrip printed on this type of paper survived as battered remnants that hover around Good-Very Good condition. This note, the plate note from Rothert's state catalog, comes in at Extremely Fine condition on bright paper with strong signatures. The only blemishes noted are a couple of small body paper voids that were probably there when the note was printed, a bit of ink erosion in the signatures and serial number, and a few scattered traces of mounting residue on the back. If you are a condition conscious collector, this is about as nice as they get.
