    Camden, AR- D.W. Fellows $1 Oct. 1, 1862 Rothert 95-4 PMG Choice Fine 15.
Camden was occupied briefly in 1864 before Union forces withdrew from the immediate area. Daniel W. Fellows came to Camden in 1848 and started a general store around 1860. He became a prominent local citizen and served as County Treasurer from 1864-66. This is one of two examples of this design and denomination that we have offered in the past nine years. It is printed on the back of an Arkansas railroad bond, with PMG noting (paperclip) rust and tape repairs (which are very difficult to detect through the holder).
