    The signer is David K. Udall, who was a Mormon pioneer and founder of the Udall political family. He served a single term as a representative in the Arizona Territorial legislature in 1899. His Mormon service started much earlier as the year 1880 saw him called to be the Mormon bishop in St. Johns. He held this office for many years. The payee is one I(da) H(unt) Udall. She was David's second wife as they married in 1882. Very Fine-Extremely Fine, with "St. Johns" having been penned out and replaced with "Holbrook" in one place.
