    Description

Unknown Location, MO- State of Missouri (Secessionist) $3 186_ Remainder Cr. 17B PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ.
It is believed that these notes were probably never used as intended. The Keatinge and Ball imprint lists Columbia, SC meaning that these were printed sometime after May, 1862. By this time such notes would have been issued "from the back of a horse" by the secessionist government which shadowed Confederate armed forces around the state. The government finally ended up the war in Marshall, TX, some 550 miles from Jefferson City, MO. This note is printed on paper watermarked T.C.C. & Co.
