    Description

Salem, NY- Bank of Salem $1-$2 18__ Proof Uncut Sheet PMG Uncirculated 62
We have never before offered an example of either denomination from this Salem bank. Here, both denominations come in the form of a wonderful proof uncut sheet. The Bank of Salem was in operation from 1853 until 1865 when it became the National Bank of Salem. Printed on India paper and mounted with the usual small POCs on each. This magnificent set last sold in a 2008 sale for just over $3,100. PMG has noted very minor tears.
