    Description

    Richmond, VA- Bank of Virginia $10 18__ as Design 10F as Jones-Littlefield BR130-51 Proof PMG Superb Gem Unc 67 EPQ.
    The bank was authorized in 1804 and ultimately organized ten branches. It remained in business until 1865 when it was destroyed during the fall of Richmond. This note's focal point is an allegorical vignette of Commerce, Prosperity, and Manufacturing seated. It is printed on India paper with no POCs or other cancellations. Four examples of this design were part of Lot 2013 in the 1990 ABNCo Archives sale.
