    The Exchange Bank was incorporated in 1801 and remained in business until becoming the National Exchange Bank (Ch. 1339) in 1865. This $100 design features an impressive vignette of New York's Crystal Palace at center. The note is printed on India paper with the usual POCs in the signature lines. PMG notes that this proof has a minor repair.
