    Description

Philadelphia, PA- Manual Labor Bank $1 18__ as G50 as Hoober 305-355 Proof PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
The Manual Labor Bank was a "paper mill" in operation between roughly 1836 and 1838 before failing. The note's focal point is a scene from a glass blowing factory and contains the popular "Elvis" glass blower complete with white jump suit and sideburns. It is printed on India paper without the usual POCs in the signature spaces. There were four examples of this design in the 1990 ABNCo Archives sale as part of Lot 1663.
