    Philadelphia, PA- City Bank $1 Jan. 15, 1862 G2a Very Good-Fine.
    The City Bank went on to become the City National Bank (Charter 543) in 1864. This green and black note features an Indian maiden with liberty pole and cap standing by a shield as well as a second vignette of Liberty and a Revolutionary War era soldier as well as an angel by two shields. The note has a 1-1 green protector as well as a green and white ONE protector panel. A horizontal split or tear that extends through the left shield has been repaired with hinges on the back.
