    After its charter expired in 1836, the Bank of the United States took a state charter from Pennsylvania and operated until 1841 when it failed. This $10 utilizes the classic layout for this series with the bank's headquarters in Philadelphia and the portraits of six prominent Americans featured. The note is printed on India paper mounted on cardstock without the usual POCs or other cancellations present.
