    Description

North Providence, RI- New England Pacific Bank Spurious $10 May 1, 1862 S5 Durand 788 PMG Very Fine 20.
In business from 1818 until it became the Pacific National Bank of North Providence in 1865, this good bank attracted its fair share of bad notes like this $10 which was not particularly well executed. We have not offered this design, which Durand lists as R-7 (1-5 known), previously.
