    Description

    Norristown, PA- Bank of Montgomery County $5 18__ G32a Hoober 281-5 Proof PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.
    The bank was organized in 1814 and remained in business until it became the Montgomery National Bank in 1865. This note features an aerial view of Norristown and the bridge over the Schuykill River with an oval male portrait on the left and one of Millard Fillmore on the right. An overall red tint and red and white "5 - V - 5" protector complete the design. This note is printed on India paper mounted on cardstock with small POCs in the signature lines. There were four examples of this variety in the 1990 ABNCo Archives sale.
