    Description

New Orleans, LA- Mechanics and Traders Bank $1 Dec. 26 1873 Remainder Very Fine.
Printed by ABNCo, this attractive green and black note has a central vignette of a train with a seated female representing Liberty and Justice at the lower right. The back has an intricate Federal-style design. Due to Federal laws prohibiting the private issuance of paper money in the 1870s, in all likelihood, these CDs were printed to circumvent the law.

    Estimate: $100 - up.
